Seminar on “Mission”

A seminar on ‘Mission Sunday’ was the second major celebration held in the Seminary this year. It was organized by the Hartmann Academy. The Deacons took the lead in making it more interesting, relevant and useful. The chairperson of the day was Most Rev. Dr. Raphy Manjaly, the Bishop of Allahabad and the chairman of the Seminary. The participation and a paper presentation by Rev. Thanga Kumar from Allahabad Bible Seminary was the main attraction of the day. The seminar commenced with welcome by Rev. Fr. Rector. The Deacons covered the topic Mission from various angles like the etymology, origin, concept, history and development, current challenges in the Church, and the current positions of the ongoing missions in the various fields of the dioceses. The Chief Guest in his exhortation appreciated all the participants for the good presentation and threw further light on the same. The programme culminated with the thanksgiving lunch.
