It has served over a number of students of whom today stand as priests who serve God and His people. It's a Seminary of life transformation not just about graduation or receiving Bachelor of Theology degree.

St. Joseph’s Seminary, situated in the holy city of Sangam, Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, India is a Regional Seminary for the Agra Ecclesiastical Region, catering to the formation of seminarians of the dioceses of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand and also various parts of India. Founded in 1919 at Kurji, Patna and later it was transferred to Allahabad in 1921. Today, it houses an average of 66 seminarians who pursue their theological studies for the 17 dioceses and 05 congregations in North India.
It is the institution which is theologically sound, mission oriented, Christo-centric, charismatic and evangelistic in its concern for the society. The Seminary stands for the imparting of the Word of God and for the fulfilment of the Great Commission of our Master and Lord Jesus Christ. Building on its one hundred and two-year-old tradition of preparing men for the ordained priesthood, and responding to the contemporary needs of the Church, St. Joseph’s Regional Seminary continues to form men for ordination to the Catholic priesthood so they may participate in the Church’s mission.
